Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Dutch Pincks On The Beach At Scheveningen by William Edwards Croxford was auctioned at Christies in London in June 2005, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 240.00 (€ 355.70). Other works by William Edwards Croxford have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2002 by the work The end of the headland, Newquay at GBP 352.50 (€ 557.59).

Als die Arbeit Dutch Pincks On The Beach At Scheveningen von William Edwards Croxford im Juni 2005 bei Christies in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus.
