Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Peel Harbour, Isle of Man; and Douglas Harbour, Isle of Man (both illustrated) by William Edward Webb was auctioned at Christies in London in November 2007. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 12,252.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate.
