In August 2003 Christies in Sydney held the auction AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS, which included the work Towards the Dandenongs by William Dunn Knox. The price achieved of AUD 5,875.00 (€ 3,470.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00.
