The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 500.00 – 700.00, the actual price achieved of USD 510.00 (€ 450.61) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by William Dorsey have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Valley in Bloom in November 2002 with an auction result of USD 3,346.00 (€ 3,368.91).
