Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Terra Notte 5 by William Congdon was auctioned at Il Ponte in December 2021. The price achieved of EUR 4,500.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 4,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by William Congdon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Black City New York in November this year with an auction result of EUR 28,000.00.

Die Arbeit Terra Notte 5 von William Congdon kam im Dezember 2021 bei Il Ponte zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 4.500,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 4.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Congdon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Black City New York im November diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 28.000,00.
