This artwork by William Brooker achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in June 2000. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Oasis sold for GBP 7,990.00 (€ 12,665.13) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Brooker - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work White Still Life, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 33,750.00 (€ 38,143.25).

Dieses Kunstwerk von William Brooker erzielte im Juni 2000 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Oasis für GBP 7.990,00 (€ 12.665,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 3.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William Brooker mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit White Still Life beobachtet, die im Juni 2018 für GBP 33.750,00 (€ 38.143,25) versteigert wurde.
