Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Seated nude by William Brooker was auctioned at Christies in London in February 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,625.00 (€ 2,125.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Brooker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work White Still Life in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 38,143.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Seated nude von William Brooker kam im Februar 2008 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 1.625,00 (€ 2.125,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Brooker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit White Still Life im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 38.143,25).
