Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Christies in London held the auction 20th Century British Art, which included the work Chrysanthemums in the studio by William Brooker. The price achieved of GBP 3,125.00 (€ 3,742.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Brooker achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work White Still Life in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 33,750.00 (€ 38,143.25).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in London die Auktion 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Chrysanthemums in the studio von William Brooker zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.125,00 (€ 3.742,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Brooker erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit White Still Life im Juni 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.750,00 (€ 38.143,25).
