The result of USD 10,000.00 (€ 7,645.84) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by William Bromley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fetching Water, which sold at auction in November 2000 for GBP 12,337.50 (€ 20,165.16).

Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 10.000,00 (€ 7.645,84) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von William Bromley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fetching Water beobachtet, die im November 2000 für GBP 12.337,50 (€ 20.165,16) versteigert wurde.
