In the California and Western Art40th Anniversary Auction auction, the work San Juan Capistrano Chapel changed hands for USD 1,785.00 (€ 1,532.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 4,000.00. Other works by William Barr have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in June 2006 by the work At The Blacksmiths at GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,604.57).
