The price achieved of GBP 1,320.00 (€ 1,915.91) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Admittedly, works by William Barnes Wollen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Battle Of Jena; Saluting The Trophies Of War in June 2001 with an auction result of GBP 9,987.50 (€ 16,591.22).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.320,00 (€ 1.915,91) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Barnes Wollen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Battle Of Jena; Saluting The Trophies Of War im Juni 2001 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 9.987,50 (€ 16.591,22).
