Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2000 Christies in London held the auction BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS, which included the work Figures skiing in the Jungfrau, Switzerland by William Ayerst Ingram. The price achieved of GBP 446.50 (€ 747.13) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by William Ayerst Ingram have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At Anchor in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,920.48).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS durch, in der auch die Arbeit Figures skiing in the Jungfrau, Switzerland von William Ayerst Ingram zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 446,50 (€ 747,13) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 300,00 – 500,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Ayerst Ingram auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit At Anchor im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.920,48).
