Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by William Ayerst Ingram could be acquired at Christies in London in September 2000 for an unexpectedly low price. In the BRITISH AND CONTINENTAL WATERCOLOURS AND DRAWINGS auction, the work Birds alighting in a coastal landscape changed hands for GBP 293.75 (€ 491.53) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Admittedly, works by William Ayerst Ingram have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work At Anchor in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 2,640.00 (€ 3,920.48).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von William Ayerst Ingram auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit At Anchor im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 2.640,00 (€ 3.920,48).
