The »bidding war« ended at GBP 750.00 (€ 924.96), 50% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by William Alfred Gibson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Sands of Morar in March 2002 with an auction result of GBP 7,050.00 (€ 11,524.89).

Die Arbeit Landscape with trees von William Alfred Gibson wurde im Dezember 2012 in der Auktion Peter Langan: A Life with Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 750,00 (€ 924,96) und damit 50% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von William Alfred Gibson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Sands of Morar im März 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.050,00 (€ 11.524,89).
