This price was achieved in the auction Old Master paintings at Sothebys in Amsterdam and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 120,000 Admittedly, works by Willem Willemsz. van der Vliet have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Scholar In His Study With Figures With Masks, Possibly An Allegory in January 2011 with an auction result of USD 2,994,500.00 (€ 2,183,375.87).

Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Old Master paintings bei Sothebys in Amsterdam erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 120.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem Willemsz. van der Vliet auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Scholar In His Study With Figures With Masks, Possibly An Allegory im Januar 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.994.500,00 (€ 2.183.375,87).
