In April 2001 Christies in London held the auction OLD MASTER PICTURES, which included the work Isaac blessing Jacob by Willem van Herp. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 10,575.00 (€ 17,048.23), 51% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Willem van Herp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tavern With Merrymakers And Cardplayers in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 88,182.22).

Im April 2001 führte Christies in London die Auktion OLD MASTER PICTURES durch, in der auch die Arbeit Isaac blessing Jacob von Willem van Herp zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 10.575,00 (€ 17.048,23) und damit 51% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem van Herp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tavern With Merrymakers And Cardplayers im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.500,00 (€ 88.182,22).
