Admittedly, works by Willem van Herp have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Tavern With Merrymakers And Cardplayers in December 2014 with an auction result of GBP 68,500.00 (€ 88,182.22).

Die Arbeit The Visitation von Willem van Herp kam im November 2015 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von EUR 11.875,00 und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 48 %. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Willem van Herp auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Tavern With Merrymakers And Cardplayers im Dezember 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 68.500,00 (€ 88.182,22).
