In May 2013 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Masters and 19th Century Art, which included the work Paying A Visit To The Less Fortunate by Willem Linnig. Other works by Willem Linnig have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of EUR 5,625.00 in May 2012 for the work Townspeople making merry in the inn.
