Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Abstrakt komposition by Wilhelm Wik was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in February 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 8,000.00 – 10,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 4,600.00 (€ 474.14). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Wik - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Musikanter" (The musicians), which sold at auction in October 2012 for SEK 11,000.00 (€ 1,279.29).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Abstrakt komposition von Wilhelm Wik im Februar 2010 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 8.000,00 – 10.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 4.600,00 (€ 474,14) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Wik mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Musikanter" (The musicians) beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für SEK 11.000,00 (€ 1.279,29) versteigert wurde.
