Auction result well in line with expectations
The work German Die Rast (The Halt) by Wilhelm Velten was auctioned at Sothebys in London in June 2009. It changed hands for a price of GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,600.75) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Velten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Riding Out ; And Before The Hunt, which sold at auction in September 2004 for GBP 17,925.00 (€ 26,114.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit German Die Rast (The Halt) von Wilhelm Velten kam im Juni 2009 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 5.625,00 (€ 6.600,75) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Velten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Riding Out ; And Before The Hunt beobachtet, die im September 2004 für GBP 17.925,00 (€ 26.114,46) versteigert wurde.
