Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Arriving at the pavilion; and A rest from the hunt by Wilhelm Velten was sold in the Pictures Watercolours and Drawings auction at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2007. It changed hands for a price of EUR 6,850.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Velten - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Riding Out ; And Before The Hunt, which sold at auction in September 2004 for GBP 17,925.00 (€ 26,114.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Arriving at the pavilion; and A rest from the hunt von Wilhelm Velten wurde im September 2007 in der Auktion Pictures Watercolours and Drawings bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 6.850,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Velten mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Riding Out ; And Before The Hunt beobachtet, die im September 2004 für GBP 17.925,00 (€ 26.114,46) versteigert wurde.
