Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Elephants at a waterhole by Wilhelm Kuhnert was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2020. The price achieved of GBP 52,500.00 (€ 58,559.75) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wilhelm Kuhnert have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work German Grollende Löwen in February 2019 with an auction result of USD 645,000.00 (€ 566,833.64).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Elephants at a waterhole von Wilhelm Kuhnert kam im Juli 2020 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 52.500,00 (€ 58.559,75) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wilhelm Kuhnert auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit German Grollende Löwen im Februar 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 645.000,00 (€ 566.833,64).
