Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2009 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Old Master and 19th Century Art, which included the work Black and white grapes, peaches, plums, chest- and hazelnuts on a forest floor by Willem Frederik van Royen. It changed hands for a price of EUR 7,500.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Willem Frederik van Royen - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Des Pêches, des cerises, du raisin et un verre sur un entablement drapé, which sold at auction in June 2003 for EUR 16,450.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2009 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Old Master and 19th Century Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Black and white grapes, peaches, plums, chest- and hazelnuts on a forest floor von Willem Frederik van Royen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 7.500,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Willem Frederik van Royen mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Des Pêches, des cerises, du raisin et un verre sur un entablement drapé beobachtet, die im Juni 2003 für EUR 16.450,00 versteigert wurde.
