Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Woman At A Loom by Wilhelm Christiaan Constant Bleckmann was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 31,250.00 (€ 3,217.28). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Christiaan Constant Bleckmann - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figure under palmtrees, which sold at auction in July 2003 for HKD 89,625.00 (€ 9,333.81).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Woman At A Loom von Wilhelm Christiaan Constant Bleckmann im Oktober 2014 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 31.250,00 (€ 3.217,28) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Christiaan Constant Bleckmann mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figure under palmtrees beobachtet, die im Juli 2003 für HKD 89.625,00 (€ 9.333,81) versteigert wurde.
