Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work View from France by Wilhelm Behm was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 12,000.00 – 15,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 10,000.00 (€ 848.90). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wilhelm Behm - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Södertuna Park., which sold at auction in May 2012 for EUR 2,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit View from France von Wilhelm Behm im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 12.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 10.000,00 (€ 848,90) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Wilhelm Behm mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Södertuna Park. beobachtet, die im Mai 2012 für EUR 2.500,00 versteigert wurde.
