Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Vessels On A Choppy Sea by Wigerus Vitringa was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2019. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,833.62). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wigerus Vitringa achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shipping in choppy waters before a crowded beach, a town beyond in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 33,850.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Vessels On A Choppy Sea von Wigerus Vitringa kam im September 2019 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.833,62) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wigerus Vitringa erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shipping in choppy waters before a crowded beach, a town beyond im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 33.850,00.
