This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Bonhams in New York and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of USD 12,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Werner Drewes - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Expectation of New Events, which sold at auction in November last year for USD 75,975.00 (€ 73,597.79).
