The work Mist Over Taihang by Weng Zuqing was sold in the Chinese Contemporary Ink auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The result of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 10,925.45) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 100,000.00 – 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Weng Zuqing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Spring Harmony, which sold at auction in May 2017 for HKD 300,000.00 (€ 34,255.96).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Die Arbeit Mist Over Taihang von Weng Zuqing wurde im Mai 2018 in der Auktion Chinese Contemporary Ink bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 10.925,45) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 100.000,00 – 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Weng Zuqing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Spring Harmony beobachtet, die im Mai 2017 für HKD 300.000,00 (€ 34.255,96) versteigert wurde.
