This artwork by Wen Zhengming achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2007. In the The Mu-Fei Collection of Chinese Paintings auction, the work Landscape sold for GBP 58,100.00 (€ 81,355.03) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Zhengming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Large Running Script in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 83,227,500.00 (€ 9,525,364.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 94 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wen Zhengming erzielte im November 2007 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Mu-Fei Collection of Chinese Paintings wurde die Arbeit Landscape für GBP 58.100,00 (€ 81.355,03) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 30.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Zhengming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Large Running Script im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 83.227.500,00 (€ 9.525.364,61).
