Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Calligraphy in Running Script by Wen Zhengming was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in December this year. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 360,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 403,200.00 (€ 46,654.85). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Zhengming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Large Running Script in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 83,227,500.00 (€ 9,525,364.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Script von Wen Zhengming wurde im Dezember diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 360.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 403.200,00 (€ 46.654,85) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Zhengming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Large Running Script im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 83.227.500,00 (€ 9.525.364,61).
