Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape Of Longqiu by Wen Zhengming was auctioned at Bonhams in London in June this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 200,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 243,200.00 (€ 28,417.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wen Zhengming achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Poems In Large Running Script in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 83,227,500.00 (€ 9,525,364.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape Of Longqiu von Wen Zhengming kam im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 500.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 243.200,00 (€ 28.417,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wen Zhengming erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Poems In Large Running Script im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 83.227.500,00 (€ 9.525.364,61).
