Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landscape After Wu Zhen by Wen Zhengming was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in October this year. It achieved a price of HKD 9,510,000.00 (€ 1,150,054.88), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 19%. Admittedly, works by Wen Zhengming have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Poems In Large Running Script in May 2019 with an auction result of HKD 83,227,500.00 (€ 9,525,364.61).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape After Wu Zhen von Wen Zhengming wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 9.510.000,00 (€ 1.150.054,88) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 19%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wen Zhengming auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Poems In Large Running Script im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 83.227.500,00 (€ 9.525.364,61).
