This artwork by Wei Guangqing achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2011. In the The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution auction, the work Red Wall - Teaching sold for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 12,698.07) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 70,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wei Guangqing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Wall - Coca Cola, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 450,000.00 (€ 45,773.54).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Wei Guangqing erzielte im Oktober 2011 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion The Ullens Collection - Experimentation and Evolution wurde die Arbeit Red Wall - Teaching für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 12.698,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 70.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Wei Guangqing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Wall - Coca Cola beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 450.000,00 (€ 45.773,54) versteigert wurde.
