The work Puzzled By Pornography, Chapter No. 61 by Wei Guangqing was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in March 2007. It achieved a price of USD 28,800.00 (€ 21,534.32), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 60%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wei Guangqing - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Wall - Coca Cola, which sold at auction in October 2008 for HKD 450,000.00 (€ 45,773.54).

Die Arbeit Puzzled By Pornography, Chapter No. 61 von Wei Guangqing kam im März 2007 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 28.800,00 (€ 21.534,32) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 60%. Für andere Arbeiten von Wei Guangqing mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Wall - Coca Cola beobachtet, die im Oktober 2008 für HKD 450.000,00 (€ 45.773,54) versteigert wurde.
