A top price for Wawi Navarroza - as previously expected
In October 2011 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work X, After The Storm N°. 2/ Gestalt by Wawi Navarroza. The price achieved of HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,463.11) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, X, After The Storm N°. 2/ Gestalt is the most expensive artwork by Wawi Navarroza that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern & Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit X, After The Storm N°. 2/ Gestalt von Wawi Navarroza zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.463,11) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist X, After The Storm N°. 2/ Gestalt das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wawi Navarroza, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
