This artwork by Warwick Goble achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in December 2008. In the Children's & Illustrated Books & Original Illustrations auction, the work Leda and the swan sold for GBP 1,625.00 (€ 1,706.72) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 800.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Warwick Goble - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The dancing girl, which sold at auction in December 2001 for GBP 3,055.00 (€ 4,991.45).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Warwick Goble erzielte im Dezember 2008 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Children's & Illustrated Books & Original Illustrations wurde die Arbeit Leda and the swan für GBP 1.625,00 (€ 1.706,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 800,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Warwick Goble mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The dancing girl beobachtet, die im Dezember 2001 für GBP 3.055,00 (€ 4.991,45) versteigert wurde.
