Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Calligraphy In Running Script by Wang Zhuangwei for USD 2,750.00 (€ 2,232.14). This price was achieved in the auction The Chew Family Collection of Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Wang Zhuangwei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy In Running Script in April 2015 with an auction result of HKD 92,000.00 (€ 10,632.50).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Wang Zhuangwei für USD 2.750,00 (€ 2.232,14) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Chew Family Collection of Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Zhuangwei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script im April 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 92.000,00 (€ 10.632,50).
