Auction result misses estimated price range
When this work without title by Wang Zhongjie was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2015, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for HKD 60,000.00 (€ 7,009.60). Other works by Wang Zhongjie have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in October 2019 by the work without title at HKD 87,500.00 (€ 10,001.12).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wang Zhongjie im Oktober 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für HKD 60.000,00 (€ 7.009,60) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Wang Zhongjie wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im Oktober 2019 die Arbeit ohne Titel mit HKD 87.500,00 (€ 10.001,12).
