Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Misty Landscape by Wang Yemei. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,731.36) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Wang Yemei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures, Geese and Rocks in May 2017 with an auction result of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,418.65).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Misty Landscape von Wang Yemei zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.731,36) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Yemei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures, Geese and Rocks im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.418,65).
