Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Wang Xuetao achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in December last year. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Rooster sold for HKD 302,400.00 (€ 36,238.25) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Xuetao achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,186,000.00 (€ 368,242.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Wang Xuetao erzielte im Dezember letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Rooster für HKD 302.400,00 (€ 36.238,25) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Xuetao erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Flowers im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.186.000,00 (€ 368.242,66).
