Auction result well in line with expectations
In April this year POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Maize And Mantis by Wang Xuetao. It changed hands for a price of HKD 45,600.00 (€ 46,566.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Wang Xuetao have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Flowers in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,186,000.00 (€ 368,242.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April diesen Jahres führte POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maize And Mantis von Wang Xuetao zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 45.600,00 (€ 46.566,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Xuetao auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Flowers im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.186.000,00 (€ 368.242,66).
