The work Spring View by Wang Wei was sold in the Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2018. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 35,400.00 (€ 3,986.09), 61% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Wang Wei - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fishes and Aquatics, which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 80,500.00 (€ 8,013.97).

Die Arbeit Spring View von Wang Wei wurde im Oktober 2018 in der Auktion Modern Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 35.400,00 (€ 3.986,09) und damit 61% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Wang Wei mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fishes and Aquatics beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 80.500,00 (€ 8.013,97) versteigert wurde.
