Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Running Script by Wang Tongyu was sold in the Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 24,000.00 (€ 2,669.67) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Tongyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscape After Huang Gongwang in November 2017 with an auction result of HKD 375,000.00 (€ 40,374.43).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Running Script von Wang Tongyu wurde im Oktober 2021 in der Auktion Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 24.000,00 (€ 2.669,67) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Tongyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscape After Huang Gongwang im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 375.000,00 (€ 40.374,43).
