Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2018 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I, which included the work Visiting Friend by Wang Su. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 30,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 14,160.00 (€ 1,594.44) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Su achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Children at Play in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 3,725,000.00 (€ 432,031.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2018 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Visiting Friend von Wang Su zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 14.160,00 (€ 1.594,44) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Su erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Children at Play im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.725.000,00 (€ 432.031,04).
