A top price for Wang Sheng - as previously expected
The work Planting Chrysanthemums by Wang Sheng was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in June 2015. The auction ended at the price of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,565.36), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 80,000.00 – 100,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Planting Chrysanthemums is the most expensive artwork by Wang Sheng that we have observed at auctions so far.
