A top price for Wang Rong - as previously expected
The work Various Subjects by Wang Rong was sold in the The Tang Hung and Fung Bi-Che Collection of Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. It changed hands for a price of USD 11,875.00 (€ 10,217.69) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Various Subjects is the most expensive artwork by Wang Rong that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Various Subjects von Wang Rong wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion The Tang Hung and Fung Bi-Che Collection of Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 11.875,00 (€ 10.217,69) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Various Subjects das teuerste Kunstwerk von Wang Rong, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
