Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The other side of sea by Wang Pan-Youn was sold in the 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART auction at Christies in Taipei in October 2001. The price achieved of TWD 235,000.00 (€ 7,551.98) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as TWD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Pan-Youn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lonely Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 725,000.00 (€ 84,086.58).

Die Arbeit The other side of sea von Wang Pan-Youn wurde im Oktober 2001 in der Auktion 20TH CENTURY CHINESE ART bei Christies in Taipeh versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von TWD 235.000,00 (€ 7.551,98) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit TWD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Pan-Youn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lonely Bird im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 725.000,00 (€ 84.086,58).
