The work Sheep by Wang Pan-Youn was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. It achieved a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,667.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 25%. Admittedly, works by Wang Pan-Youn have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Lonely Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 725,000.00 (€ 84,086.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 25 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sheep von Wang Pan-Youn kam im April 2015 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.667,80) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 25%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Wang Pan-Youn auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Lonely Bird im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 725.000,00 (€ 84.086,58).
