Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 POLY in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese and Asian Modern & Contemporary Art, which included this untitled work by Wang Pan-Youn. The price achieved of HKD 82,600.00 (€ 7,682.34) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 70,000.00 – 100,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Pan-Youn achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Lonely Bird in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 725,000.00 (€ 84,086.58).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte POLY in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese and Asian Modern & Contemporary Art durch, in der auch diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Wang Pan-Youn zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 82.600,00 (€ 7.682,34) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 70.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Pan-Youn erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Lonely Bird im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 725.000,00 (€ 84.086,58).
