Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Landscape by Wang Meng was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2006. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 100,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 102,000.00 (€ 10,245.31). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Wang Meng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Fishing In Green Depths in April 2018 with an auction result of HKD 59,000,000.00 (€ 6,225,443.10).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Landscape von Wang Meng wurde im Mai 2006 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 100.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 102.000,00 (€ 10.245,31) einen neuen Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Wang Meng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Fishing In Green Depths im April 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 59.000.000,00 (€ 6.225.443,10).
